Wage Range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, plus an additional $2.25 per hour for shift differential.
B shift (Monday-Wednesday, 6:30pm-6:30am Thursday, 6:30pm-12:30am)
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for managing the west side of the artificial age ovens: Staging ovens, starting the age cycle, moving material, receiving in alloy, organizing alloy between the presses, maintaining the consumables of the press area (baskets and spacers), participating in 5S initiatives, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Ensure that safety is always the number one priority at Alexandria Industries; promote and support a safe work environment and safety-oriented culture by following all safety programs and guidelines.
· Support the company’s key corporate values, objectives and strategies.
· Cross-train in as many functions in the department as possible
· Understand and verify manufacturing orders in order to identify internal and customer specifications.
o Perform inspections of aluminum extrusions prior to entering the aging oven.
· Conduct all processes and procedures in accordance with department key measures.
· Ensure all quality practices are being followed accurately and efficiently.
· Keep work area clean and orderly using 5S system (standardize, sustain, sort, set in order and shine)
· Meet delivery schedules to ensure customer service and satisfaction.
· Provide suggestions and continuous improvement ideas to help better processes and procedures.
· Support the press cells in any and all capacities needed.
· Material handling
o Dumping scrap bins
o Receiving in and putting away alloy loads
o Moving trailers
OTHER JOB DUTIES (Not considered essential to the job)
· Perform all other related assignments (including special projects) as required in a professional and cooperative manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Education:
High school diploma or equivalent degree
2. Experience:
3+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
3. Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to recognize safety concerns.
Ability to utilize the proper inspection equipment per designated area.
A highly motivated self-starter.
Basic math skills.
Ability to read die drawings and inspect parts and surface finish according to customer specifications.
Ability to effectively work in a team environment.
Ability to take part in additional training i.e. Extrusion 101.
Ability to perform and assist with preventive maintenance.
Strong communication skills, problem solver, multi-tasker.
Ability to properly identify materials.
