Job Highlights
- Support patient care by managing patient flow, assisting with exams and procedures, collecting histories and specimens, performing screenings, and communicating instructions to patients and families
- Complete clerical tasks such as managing medical records, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, processing billing and coding, and maintaining accurate patient documentation
- Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment by preparing instruments, cleaning rooms and equipment, restocking supplies, and following infection control protocols
- Perform clinical duties within scope of practice, including vital signs, drug administration, assisting with minor procedures, laboratory testing, specimen collection, and EKGs
- Uphold organizational standards by promoting patient rights, responding to emergencies, supporting team communication, and completing additional duties as assigned
Candidate Profile
- Medical Assistant and active CPR/BLS certifications are required
- 1 year of recent experience in a medical office is required
- Proficiency with computers (Excel, Word, EPIC) and appointment scheduling is preferred
- Relevant soft skills include teamwork, collaboration, communication, prioritization, and maintaining organized systems, professionalism, and level-headedness in stressful situations
