Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An educational opportunity is available for a skilled Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing in Central Point, OR. This contract position offers the chance to work in a supportive school environment focused on providing specialized instruction tailored to students with hearing impairments.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, utilizing appropriate teaching methods and technologies.

- Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and classroom teachers to support student achievement.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Promote communication development, social skills, and academic success within the school community.
Qualifications:
- Certification or endorsement as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing.
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a K-12 educational setting.
- Knowledge of assistive listening devices, speechreading techniques, and alternative communication strategies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to design and adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs.
