PHARMACIST | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Fort Lauderdale FL 33309 – 100% On-site
- Payrate: $64.27/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 10:30 AM–7:30 PM AND 2:00 PM–11:00 PM

PHARMACIST | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Pharmacist role ensures safe, accurate dispensing of medications while supporting patients through counseling, education, and medication management. The pharmacist maintains regulatory compliance, oversees pharmacy operations, and collaborates with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
PHARMACIST | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accurately accept, verify, and dispense prescription medications.
- Monitor patient adherence and identify potential over-usage patterns.
- Ensure medication dispensing and supply management comply with all legal and clinical guidelines.
- Maintain confidential and accurate patient records and pharmacy documentation.
- Counsel patients on medication usage, reactions, side effects, and interactions.
- Provide consultation on both prescription and OTC medications.
- Offer patient services such as smoking cessation guidance, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol support.
- Educate patients on proper handling of medical devices (e.g., glucose meters, BP monitors).
- Compound medications for internal/external use and prepare sterile solutions as required.
- Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks.
- Manage inventory of medications and supplies.
- Identify medication-related issues and communicate effectively with prescribers and other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, interns, and other pharmacists to support optimal patient care.
PHARMACIST | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- Active and valid state pharmacist license.
- Strong communication, accuracy, and patient counseling skills.
- Ability to work assigned shifts reliably, including weekend rotation when scheduled.
- Experience with sterile compounding or medication preparation.
- Prior supervisory experience in a pharmacy setting.
