We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician.

The Q.C. Tech is responsible for ensuring GCI raw materials and product quality, food safety, prerequisite programs and food quality by working in partnership with Production, R&D, Purchasing, and other related departments as necessary.

Job Type: Full time temp-to-hire

Pay: $20 DOE

Schedule: 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. (2nd Shift)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform quality control testing, product sampling, and line monitoring
• Conduct laboratory testing and equipment calibration
• Execute internal quality audits and evaluations
• Assist with implementing and improving QC operating procedures
• Perform Brix testing, refractive index testing, sensory evaluation, moisture testing, and weight checks
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and lab safety requirements

Qualifications:

• Calibrate lab and line equipment for accurate results
• Collect in-process and finished product samples
• Conduct standardized qualitative and quantitative testing to ensure it meets specifications in accordance with HACCP Plans, SOP's and other food safety/quality programs
• Perform and record product evaluation tests
• Conduct ATP testing per allergen control program
• Conduct microbiological testing
• 1–3 years of quality control or lab technician experience
• Gas Chromatography experience preferred
• Strong documentation and attention to detail
• Ability to wear a respirator
• Weekend flexibility
