A healthcare facility in Santa Maria, CA, is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care for adult and geriatric patients. This role involves administering both basic and critical respiratory therapies for patients with respiratory diseases, following physician orders and departmental protocols. The ideal candidate must excel working independently and effectively supervise others as delegated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver respiratory therapy services for adult and geriatric patients in accordance with physician instructions.
- Perform both basic and advanced respiratory care treatments.
- Maintain accurate documentation including electronic medical records, flow sheets, and billing charges.
- Provide supervision to respiratory therapy staff as needed.
- Adhere to current department policies and safety standards.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and lead support staff.
- Experience in adult and geriatric respiratory care.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record systems.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to documentation accuracy.
