Job Description:
Tex Trail Transport is hiring experienced CDL Drivers to operate and move flatbed trailers in a yard environment, with potential for local driving as needed. This role requires hands-on work securing loads and maintaining safety standards at all times.
Available Shift:
- 2nd Shift: 5:00 PM – 4:00 AM
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and drive tractor-trailer combination vehicles safely over various distances
- Move and position flatbed trailers within the yard
- Perform strapping, tarping, chaining, and proper load securement
- Maintain accurate electronic logs using Geotab (E-logs)
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies
Requirements:
- Valid CDL (Class A preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years CDL driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations or accidents in the past 3 years)
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening
- Experience with load securement (straps, chains, tarps)
- Strong knowledge of basic truck maintenance and automotive procedures
- Must have a smartphone available at all times
