The TBS Coach/IHBS Coach, under the supervision of the Program Director or designee, delivers intensive, individualized, one-to-one mental health services to children and youth experiencing severe emotional challenges, as well as support to their families.
This position works 30 hours per week, with afternoon and early evening hours.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide quality care for program clients. Works in collaboration with the multidisciplinary treatment teams to provide quality care to the clients of the program.
- Participate in developing, implementing and coordinating individual treatment and behavioral plans that target improvements in peer, family, and community relationships.
- Support parents in helping clients reach their goals and reduce frequency and intensity of target behaviors by practicing behavioral skills and generalizing rehabilitation services.
- Stay informed of the overall client treatment plan and contribute directly to treatment planning, discharge planning and aftercare.
- Travel required to community locations and client homes, as part of service delivery.
- This position includes productivity expectations, with an average of 45% of the time worked dedicated to billable client services.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a mental health discipline or related field (Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services).
- Minimum two years’ experience in client-related services in mental health. May substitute 30 semester units in counseling, psychology, or social work for one year of experience.
- Experience in case management and collaborative partnering preferred.
- Knowledge of working with children and families required.
- Familiarity with community resources, case management process, community outreach and program planning highly preferred.
- Awareness and demonstration of sensitivity to diverse socioeconomic and multicultural backgrounds.
- Commitment to WYS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity (DEI) initiatives.
- Represent WYS with professionalism while working independently in field-based settings.
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Word, and clinical database skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Bilingual ability in Spanish, Vietnamese, Farsi, Arabic or Korean strongly preferred.
Salary:
- $25.76 to $27.04 hourly (The actual salary may vary based on experience, equity, market, and agency considerations).
