Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time contract role offers the opportunity to guide a small, close-knit caseload of 6-8 students requiring significant support. Working alongside passionate colleagues, you’ll play a vital part in fostering both academic and personal development during the 2026-2027 school year.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Special Education Teacher certification/license
  • Prior experience working in elementary special education settings
  • Knowledge of instructional strategies for students with significant support needs
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with families, related service teams, and staff
  • Ability to adapt lessons and environments to individual student learning goals
  • Organizational skills to manage documentation, IEPs, and progress monitoring

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
  • Develop, implement, and track progress on IEP goals in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
  • Foster a safe, inclusive learning atmosphere promoting student confidence and independence
  • Communicate regularly with families and participate in IEP meetings
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with all special education requirements
  • Support daily routines including transitions, social skills, and personal care as needed
