Job Description\n
American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week contract in California, requiring a CA CRT license and BLS certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Mammography department in an acute care setting
- Performs routine and specialized breast imaging procedures
- 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday with weekend rotation required
- Weekday shift start times vary between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM; weekend shifts begin between 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM
- Performs routine and specialized breast procedures to produce diagnostic-quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers
- Works independently using sound clinical judgment to execute safe and precise imaging procedures
- Responsible for thorough patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and clear communication with patients, families, and care teams
- May be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or orienting other staff to the department
- Adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety
- Only one holiday RTO request will be approved
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- 2 supervisor references from within the past two years are required for consideration

- Minimum of 2 years of Mammography Technologist experience
- Current BLS (AHA) certification required
- CA CRT license required if applicable
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
