A part-time Coding Teacher opportunity is available in Naval Anacost Annex, DC, supporting K-12 students across multiple campuses. This contract position offers 5-10 hours of work per week, with potential availability for the following academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience working with Scratch software.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Background in General Education teaching or related teaching roles.
- Ability to engage students across various grade levels (K-12).
- Flexibility to work at different locations within the school district.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver coding instruction to students using Scratch software.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate a range of student skill levels and ages.
- Collaborate with other educators to integrate coding into the general curriculum.
- Manage classroom environments across multiple campuses ensuring a supportive learning atmosphere.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to students and staff.
