Bachelor’s degree in Education, valid state Teaching license or certification, and 1+ years Teaching experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A part-time Coding Teacher opportunity is available in Naval Anacost Annex, DC, supporting K-12 students across multiple campuses. This contract position offers 5-10 hours of work per week, with potential availability for the following academic year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Scratch software.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Background in General Education teaching or related teaching roles.
  • Ability to engage students across various grade levels (K-12).
  • Flexibility to work at different locations within the school district.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver coding instruction to students using Scratch software.
  • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate a range of student skill levels and ages.
  • Collaborate with other educators to integrate coding into the general curriculum.
  • Manage classroom environments across multiple campuses ensuring a supportive learning atmosphere.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to students and staff.
