  • Role: Travel Surgical Technologist / Operating Room (OR) Tech\n
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 15, 2026 – July 15, 2026)\n
  • Setting: Hospital Operating Room (OR) – inpatient surgical services\n
  • Shift: 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday (6:30am–3:00pm and/or 9:00am–5:30pm)\n
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week\n
  • Call: Opportunity available, not required\n
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,580 – $1,700\n
  • Number of Positions: 2\n

\n\nRequired Qualifications – Surgical Technologist\n

    \n
  • High school diploma or equivalent\n
  • Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or U.S. military surgical technology training\n
  • Current Surgical Technologist certification (CST/NBSTSA or state equivalent preferred)\n
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification (Healthcare Provider)\n
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist; 3 years preferred\n
  • Experience in Cesarean Section (C-section), Orthopedic, General, and Vascular surgery preferred\n
  • Strong knowledge of aseptic technique, surgical instrumentation, and OR workflow\n
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, manual dexterity, and patient safety focus\n

\n\nKey Responsibilities – Operating Room (OR) Surgical Technologist\n

  • Provide direct patient care support in the operating room under RN supervision as an OR tech/surgical technologist\n
  • Function as scrub or assistant during surgical procedures, following AORN Standards of Practice and hospital policies\n
  • Apply strict aseptic technique and sterile field maintenance to ensure patient safety\n
  • Prepare, maintain, and decontaminate surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies\n
  • Perform surgical scrub, gowning, and gloving procedures according to facility protocol\n
  • Assist with skin preparation, draping, patient positioning, and transfers\n
  • Anticipate and respond to the needs of the surgical team to enhance OR efficiency\n
  • Identify and respond calmly and efficiently to intraoperative emergencies\n
  • Maintain accurate counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments and document appropriately\n
  • Promote a safe, efficient, and supportive environment for surgical patients and staff\n
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and competency maintenance for surgical technologist roles\n
