Job Description
A manufacturing company specializing in premium labels is seeking a dedicated General Production Worker to assist in the rewinding department. This role requires flexibility to work on weekends and weekdays as needed.
Responsibilities
- Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures.
- Attain and maintain all defined job objectives related to planning and executing jobs and quick changes.
- Assist in all external make-ready operations in preparation for changeover activities.
- Perform external clean-up activities following changeover.
- Clean ink pans and ancillary equipment.
- Strip plates from cylinders.
- Locate dies to and from the press.
- Work with the press operator to view labels using a strobe light.
- Comply with quality assurance specifications of the customer.
- Complete quality assurance sheets and associated documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness of machinery and organization of the workspace.
- Work overtime when needed and as assigned.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- Ability to communicate and interact well with others, both verbally and in written form.
- Capability to read and understand a job ticket.
- Proficiency in reading a ruler and understanding measurements.
- Correctable vision to 20/20.
- Ability to differentiate colors.
- Competency in inputting data into a computer.
- Strong team player with a high sense of urgency for on-time completion of tasks.
- Self-motivated with the ability to stay focused and follow instructions.
- Physical ability to stand and move around the press area for long periods of time.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Print shop experience is helpful but not required.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Assertive and solution-focused.

Work Environment
The work environment is a manufacturing site with over 150 employees. It involves loud machinery, requiring the use of safety gear such as hair nets, beard nets, safety glasses, ear plugs, and steel-toed shoes. Employees must wear a back safety belt and refrain from wearing jewelry. The role involves physical activity, including standing for long periods, frequent walking, and occasionally climbing or balancing. Shifts include Swing (1PM - 9:30PM, Monday-Friday) and Night (9PM - 5:30AM, Sunday-Thursday).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fullerton, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.65 - $20.65/hr.
