Position Title: Poultry Processing & Packing Associate
Department: Poultry
Reports To: Poultry Production Supervisor
Position Summary:
The Poultry Processing & Packing Associate is responsible for handling, cutting, trimming, and packaging poultry products in accordance with company quality standards, food safety guidelines, and productivity requirements. This role supports efficient production flow and ensures that all poultry items are prepared and packed accurately for distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cut, trim, debone, and portion poultry products following company specifications.
- Operate knives and processing equipment safely and correctly.
- Inspect poultry for defects, contamination, or quality concerns and report issues to the supervisor.
- Weigh, label, and package poultry products according to order requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and equipment during and after use.
- Follow all food safety, HACCP, and company policies to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Work efficiently to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
- Assist with loading, organizing, and staging finished poultry products for shipment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in poultry or food processing preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in cold or refrigerated environments for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
