This full-time or part-time position offers a dynamic schedule that includes 12-hour day shifts on a three weeks on, two weeks off rotation, with weekend, holiday, and on-call responsibilities as needed. On-call hours require onsite availability, ensuring hands-on patient care in a critical role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical, obstetrical, and therapeutic procedures.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to develop and implement anesthesia care plans.
- Manage patient safety and respond promptly to critical situations.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and facility protocols.
- Participate in patient education on anesthesia procedures and postoperative care.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Active Alaska RN License (obtaining takes approximately 8 weeks).
- Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) credentialed by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
- 2-3 years of experience in an acute care setting.
- Doctorate degree preferred but not required.
