Position Overview
The Forklift Operator plays a key role in supporting daily operations by safely handling, moving, and organizing materials throughout the fabrication shop and yard. This position ensures that production teams have the right materials in place at the right time, contributing to efficient workflow and overall project success. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment
- Load, unload, and move materials throughout the shop and yard
- Maintain accurate inventory and material tracking
- Assist with staging materials for fabrication and shipping
- Conduct daily forklift inspections and report any maintenance issues
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- CDL preferred, not required
- 1+ year of forklift experience (certification preferred but not required)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a fabrication or warehouse environment
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Team-oriented attitude and good communication skills
Compensation & Benefits
- $18.00 – $22.00/hour depending on experience.
