Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Engage as a dedicated Special Education Teacher serving students across two vibrant PK-8 schools in Aurora, CO. This full-time contracted role offers the unique opportunity to split your week, spending three days at one school and two at another, addressing a Mild/Moderate caseload. Your expertise will support students in enhancing academic performance and developing essential learning skills through customized, individual-focused strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with Mild/Moderate disabilities.
- Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with students, families, and related services staff.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods to promote continuous growth.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide prehensive support and services.
- Maintain clear and timely munication with stakeholders regarding student achievements and challenges.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education license in one of the following: Generalist, Mild/Moderate, Affective Needs, or Profound Needs.
- Proven ability to write effective IEPs and work collaboratively with related services personnel.
- Experience working within K-12 settings, preferably in split or multi-site roles.
- Strong mitment to fostering inclusive learning environments tailored to individual student needs.
Location: Aurora, Colorado serving two PK-8 schools.
