The Opportunity
We're seeking a visionary Vice President of Marketing to lead our next phase of growth as we scale from our current success to becoming the definitive leader in AI-powered competitive intelligence. What You'll Do
Build a World-Class Marketing Organization
- Architect and lead a comprehensive Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategy targeting Fortune 1000 enterprises
- Build, hire, and scale a high-performing marketing team from the ground up
- Establish measurable demand generation programs with clear ROI metrics and attribution
- Drive tight integration between sales and marketing operations to maximize pipeline velocity and conversion
Shape Our Market Position
- Formalize and evangelize our messaging strategy at the intersection of competitive intelligence, marketing intelligence, and AI
- Own and manage comprehensive content strategy across all channels, from thought leadership to demand generation
- Position Northern Light as the definitive platform for AI-powered market and competitive intelligence
- Develop thought leadership content that establishes our executives as industry visionaries
- Create compelling value propositions that resonate with C-suite and senior decision-makers
Drive Strategic Growth
- Partner with leadership to scale revenue from our current foundation toward $30M+ ARR
- Design and execute integrated campaigns that drive qualified pipeline for enterprise accounts
- Establish key performance indicators and implement data-driven optimization across all marketing channels
- Lead our presence at industry conferences, analyst briefings, and strategic customer events
Optimize Marketing Operations
- Make strategic build-vs-buy decisions for marketing technology, agencies, and outsourced services
- Establish efficient marketing operations infrastructure to support rapid scaling
- Manage agency relationships and external partnerships to extend our capabilities
- Implement best-in-class marketing automation, attribution, and analytics platforms
What You Bring
Leadership Excellence
- 8+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, with experience in Director, VP or CMO roles
- Proven track record building and scaling marketing teams in high-growth SaaS environments
- Experience driving revenue growth from $10M to $30M+ ARR in B2B enterprise software
- Exceptional ability to recruit, develop, and retain top marketing talent
Enterprise SaaS Expertise
- Deep experience in Account-Based Marketing with Fortune 1000 enterprises
- Demonstrated success with complex B2B sales cycles (6-18 months) and multiple stakeholders
- Strong understanding of enterprise software procurement processes and decision-making
- Experience marketing AI/ML-powered platforms or data/analytics solutions preferred
Demand Generation Mastery
- Proven ability to build and optimize measurable demand generation engines
- Track record of achieving aggressive pipeline and revenue targets
- Expertise in marketing attribution, funnel optimization, and ROI measurement
- Experience with sales and marketing alignment, including joint planning and goal setting
Strategic Marketing Acumen
- Experience positioning complex technology solutions for technical and business audiences
- Ability to craft compelling messaging and thought leadership in emerging technology categories
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive strategic decisions
- Excellent communication skills with C-suite presentation experience
