The Analyst, Product Management, plays a pivotal role in advancing NCQA’s Evaluation Portfolio. This position supports the development, enhancement, and market success of assigned products by contributing and coordinating activities starting from the initial concept of a product through launch and ongoing lifecycle management. The Analyst helps synthesize market insights, coordinates activities across departments in accordance to the project plan, and drafts initial product documentation, including standards, pitch decks, project plans, and business cases. The Analyst also coordinates the activities necessary for the consensus driven product approval process (Committee, Public Comment, and Board).
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting data analysis and research to support product direction.
- Help create and maintain product Develop and maintain essential product documentation, such as pitch decks, market engagement plans, and business cases.
- Support standards/content development for new and existing products by engaging with committees, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare initial materials (memos, presentations, etc.) for internal reviews and approvals.
- Track product performance and contribute to identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective execution of product initiatives.
- Present product updates and insights wither internal teams and stakeholders as needed.
Product Support & Analysis
- Assist with activities across the product lifecycle, including research, documentation, and monitoring of assigned evaluation programs.
- Support the creation and management of product backlogs, project plans, and roadmaps.
- Help compile customer feedback and analyze regulatory updates for review by senior team members.
- Contribute to stakeholder engagement by collecting input, tracking product performance, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Help develop and maintain reference materials to support internal teams and external stakeholders; contribute subject matter knowledge under guidance.
- Participate in meetings with Committees and Stakeholders as needed.
Product Development & Enhancement Support
- Support research and validation of new product concepts and enhancements by assisting with data analysis and compiling customer feedback.
- Assist in drafting Standards and Product content under guidance from senior team members.
- Help prepare business case materials and pricing by gathering data and performing basic analysis for review by senior team members.
- Work with internal teams to help track progress on product design and implementation tasks, ensuring documentation is updated and timelines are followed.
- Provide analytical support to contribute to evaluating product performance and identifying potential improvement areas.
Go-To-Market Support
- Provide staff level oversight to the Market and Customer development planning and execution.
- Support the development of product positioning and value propositions by compiling data and drafting initial content for review.
- Coordinate activities with Marketing and Sales teams for trainings and deliverables like product messaging and narratives.
- Help coordinate pre-launch activities by tracking tasks and gathering feedback to support successful product adoption.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in health related field or business. Master's degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a related field working with health plans or health care delivery organizations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of financial concepts; ability to assist in building business cases.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with guidance.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative, eager to learn, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
- For new hires, this position pays in the range of $63K - $70K per year, depending on experience.
- This position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus, payable in accordance with policy.
