JOB TITLE: HR Assistant

DEPARTMENT: Human Resources

REPORTS TO: Manager, Human Resources

Position Summary:
The HR Assistant provides comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources department. This role assists in payroll preparation, recordkeeping, employee engagement activities, and training coordination while maintaining confidentiality and supporting HR initiatives and compliance efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with payroll processing by preparing spreadsheets, verifying timecard information, and ensuring accuracy of data.

2. Support the planning and coordination of employee events, meetings, and recognition functions.

3. Maintain employee files and HR records by filing, scanning, and organizing documents.

4. Coordinate visitor meetings and special events, including scheduling, setup, and logistics.

5. Organize and track employee training sessions, maintaining accurate attendance and completion records.

6. Provide administrative support to the Accounting Department, including assisting with check printing.

7. Track and document applicant data to support Affirmative Action reporting and compliance.

8. Act as backup receptionist, greeting visitors, answering calls, and directing inquiries as needed.

9. Demonstrate self-direction, initiative, and strong verbal and written communication skills.

10. Maintain a high level of organization and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

11. Comply with all company safety regulations and maintain a clean, orderly work area.

12. Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

13. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

POSITION TYPE:

This is a Salary non-exempt full-time position.

TRAVEL:

Limited to no travel required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associate’s degree in human resources related field or 4 years’ comparable Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
