\n\nJob Responsibilities\n

  • Implementing best practice nursing care in post-acute residents in nearby areas
  • \n

  • Monitoring the conditions of residents and providing updates to the nursing team
  • \n

  • Measuring and documenting the basic vital signs of residents
  • \n

  • Helping residents with grooming, feeding, toileting, and other basic activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • \n

  • Promoting a clean and safe environment by ensuring best practices in hygiene and by clearing areas of hazards
  • \n

  • Transporting residents around the facility and assisting them with other movements, as needed during the day
  • \n

  • Interacting with residents on a daily basis to keep them engaged, provide comfort, and build trusting relationships
  • \n

  • Being accountable to follow and adhere to care plans for residents and all applicable rules, regulations, and policies
  • \n

  • Bridging communications between, and among, staff and residents (and their family members)

\n\nQualifications and Skills\n

    \n
  • Current Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification
  • \n

  • Understanding of general nursing care procedures and terminology
  • \n

  • Ability to communicate with medical professionals as well as patients/residents and their family members
  • \n

  • High level of attention to detail
  • \n

  • Lifting requirement of at least 50 lbs
