Spectra Systems, a leading developer, manufacturer, and supplier of advanced materials and sensors for anti-counterfeiting solutions for currency, secure documents, and consumer goods, is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to work with the technical team and manage the execution of our strategic business development plans. This role is ideal for a marketing or product marketing professional with strong experience in technical product marketing in the government and large consumer brands sectors.

The Senior Marketing Manager will report to the CEO, manage approved programs and actively contribute to the creation of content while working closely with all functional groups (R&D, Engineering, Legal, and Financial) as needed to achieve program milestones.

This position is 100% on site with some travel required.

Primary Responsibilities

Cross-functional Group Collaboration

  • Work closely with R&D team to ensure alignment of customer requirements, technical specifications and marketing materials. Collaborate with R&D to progress active projects.
  • Inferface with legal resources in the development of formal agreements (license and supply, sales and distribution, and service).
  • Collaborate with the Finance team on Investor Relations content for the web site and development of content for the Annual Report.

Marketing Strategy and Planning

  • Translate high-level business goals into actionable marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Maintain a marketing calendar to coordinate campaigns effectively.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with global sales colleagues and indirect sales partners to ensure clear communication of value propositions, and the provision of marketing collateral.
  • Research industry associations and events to determine value of Spectra’s participation.

Marketing Campaign Execution

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns across digital, email, and print channels.
  • Coordinate with internal groups and external sales partners, and third parties to manage campaigns.
  • Plan, create content, and manage the production of marketing videos, sell sheets, technical data sheets, brochures, and web-based digital content.

Industry Relations and Conferences

  • Serve as liaison to industry publications and associations.
  • Plan, budget and execute Spectra participation in industry conferences and events.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines without sacrificing quality
  • Experience with MS Office apps with emphasis on ability to develop and produce presentations, sell sheets, marketing and business documents. Use knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with the ability to draft and produce videos, images, and layouts is a plus.

Education and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree (B.A./S.) from a four-year college; MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in product marketing or product management.
  • Experience running marketing campaigns across digital platforms.
  • Experience developing and producing content for print and digital collateral.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept to execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with all company functional groups as a contributor and lead role.
