We are seeking a compassionate and dependable caregiver to support an adult client in a residential community setting. The ideal candidate will be patient, attentive, and experienced in assisting individuals with mobility limitations while promoting independence and safety.
Wednesdays & Fridays 10am-2pm
$23 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with morning routine, including applying compression stockings
- Provide supervision and support during transfers to ensure fall prevention
- Assist with toileting needs, including use of a commode and incontinence care
- Support safe mobility using a wheelchair (client is non-ambulatory)
- Encourage and support use of hearing aids to improve communication
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversation and activities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized living environment
- Monitor for safety concerns and follow care guidelines at all times
Client Overview:
- Adult client residing in a residential community
- Diagnosed with lymphedema; requires daily compression stocking support
- Wheelchair-bound; uses a transport chair for outings
- Fall risk with a history of prior falls
- Wears hearing aids but may need encouragement to use them
- Uses incontinence products and commode
- Has a pet in the home
Qualifications:
- Prior caregiving experience preferred, especially with mobility-impaired clients
- Experience with transfers, fall prevention, and incontinence care
- Patient, reliable, and attentive to detail
- Comfortable working in a home with pets
- Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to client needs
Schedule & Environment:
- Care provided in a private residential setting
