Unit Highlights:The surgical unit operates within a modern, well-equipped main operating room boasting 284 beds and a dedicated team of 55 OR staff members. The unit is characterized by a supportive environment where day and night shifts are carefully staffed to ensure patient safety and staff collaboration. The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech, designed to streamline patient care documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care across a broad range of surgical procedures, excluding burns, transplants, and cardiac surgeries.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including trauma and vascular specialists.
- Maintain compliance with unit policies and patient safety standards.
- Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate documentation and communication.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current RN license with OR nursing experience.
- Proficient with Meditech electronic medical records.
- Certification in ACLS and PALS required.
- Trauma and vascular experience preferred.
- Demonstrates a self-motivated, easy-going demeanor suited for a fast-paced surgical setting.
Schedule:
- Day shift hours: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
