We are seeking a Clinical Secretary to join our healthcare team, where you will play a key role in supporting daily patient and provider operations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing warm, professional, and responsive customer service.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient information using EPIC or similar EMR systems.
  • Answer and triage phone calls, using effective listening and professional telephone etiquette.
  • Accurately process and direct inquiries from patients, providers, and staff.
  • Coordinate administrative tasks, ensuring timeliness and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Uphold confidentiality and follow clinic protocols at all times.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service, with strong verbal and interpersonal communication.
  • Excellent organizational skills; able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency with EPIC or similar Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems in scheduling and information management.
  • Strong communication, effective listening, and sound judgment skills.
  • Ability to work independently, apply critical thinking, and resolve issues proactively.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and previous experience in a medical office or high-volume call center.
  • Spanish-speaking (bilingual) skills are an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and experience with multi-line telephone systems.
  • Experience in specialty clinical environments such as oncology, cardiology, or dermatology, with exposure to specialized EPIC modules.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to changing work demands.

Top Must-Have Skills:

  1. Exceptional customer service.
  2. EPIC or prior EMR experience (strongly preferred).
  3. Effective communication skills—call center or customer service representative experience valued.
  4. Spanish bilingual skills are a plus but not required.

• At least 3 years of experience as a Medical Secretary or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record systems such as MEDENT, Epic EMR, or similar platforms.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and office procedures.
• Experience in medical billing and scheduling processes.
• Spanish language proficiency is preferred but not required.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other basic office software tools.
