Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist with expertise in inpatient pharmacy services located in Kihei, HI. This role offers the chance to provide critical pharmaceutical care at a well-established medical facility known for quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Perform inpatient pharmacy duties including order verification and supervision of pharmacy technicians
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient medication therapy
- Conduct pharmacokinetic monitoring and assessments
- Utilize pharmacy information systems such as EPIC and Pyxis to manage medication dispensing and documentation
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice pharmacy in Hawaii
- Minimum of 1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience
- Strong communication and clinical consultation skills
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems preferred
Schedule:
- Variable days and afternoon shifts
- 8-hour shifts
- Immediate start with commitment for 13 weeks or longer
