Job Title: Pharmacy Technician – Sterile & Non-Sterile Compounding

Location: Kalispell, Montana

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift (No weekends or holidays)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our compounding team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in both sterile and non-sterile environments, with a strong commitment to accuracy, cleanliness, and adherence to regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounded medications according to prescription orders, standard operating procedures and Montana and federal law.
  • Maintain proper documentation in compliance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> regulations.
  • Ensure cleanliness and aseptic conditions in sterile compounding areas (cleanroom, laminar flow hoods).
  • Accurately weigh, measure, and mix ingredients using calibrated equipment.
  • Package and label finished products with a high degree of precision.
  • Assist in inventory control, ordering, and restocking of compounding supplies.
  • Support pharmacists in daily operations and uphold a high standard of patient care and safety.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Montana Pharmacy Technician License in good standing (or ability to obtain before start date).
  • National certification (CPhT).
  • Previous experience in compounding (sterile and/or non-sterile) highly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to aseptic technique.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and a team player.
