Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Critical Access Hospital (Night Shift)
Location: Sulphur Springs, MT
Assignment Type: Contract
Shift: Nights (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (Block scheduling available; holiday coverage required)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Position Overview

A healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join its team in a small, rural Critical Access Hospital setting. This role involves providing high-quality patient care across Long-Term Care (LTC) and acute/swing bed units. The ideal candidate is adaptable, self-motivated, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care in LTC and acute/swing bed settings
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions accurately
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including toileting and routine rounds
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
  • Collaborate with Registered Nurses and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic medical records (CPSI/Evident)
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, policies, and quality care standards

Qualifications

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (required)
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience
  • Current BLS/BCLS certification (required)
  • Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) and acute care settings
  • Ability to work independently in a rural healthcare environment
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
