Travel: Up to 75%
Locations: Gulf Region (Baton Rouge, LA / Houston, TX / Midland, TX / Omaha, NE). Ideal candidate will live near of our Gulf Region established branches.
Title: Regional Service Manager
Job Summary:
The Assistant Regional Service Manager supports the operational effectiveness of multiple service branches within a defined territory. This role is designed for a hands-on leader who thrives in both administrative and field environments. The Assistant Regional Service Manager will help execute branch-level service initiatives, ensure alignment with company standards, and support the Regional Service Manager in meeting performance, safety, and customer service goals.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of service policies, procedures, and standardized expectations across branch service departments
- Assist with training initiatives to ensure compliance and consistency in service operations, including Lean, 6S, and equipment maintenance standards
- Provide direct field support—approximately 50% of the role—including assisting with equipment repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting at branch and job site locations
- Communicate and reinforce expectations for cleanliness, organization, ergonomics, and safety in all Service Departments
- Assist in setting up and maintaining inventories of parts, tools, and supplies at each service location to support daily operations
- Help execute company standards for vehicle and equipment maintenance and quality control processes
- Travel to branches to help conduct service audits, identify improvement opportunities, and support local service teams during peak workloads or technical challenges
- Monitor Field Failures through internal reporting systems and assist with follow-up training to reduce future occurrences
- Partner with the Regional Service Manager to support the setup of new branch Service Departments, including stocking, organizing, and training staff
- Work with IT to support the automation of service processes and ensure accurate service data capture and reporting
- Help ensure branches are maintaining accurate records of equipment repairs, purchases, and preventive maintenance
- Assist in evaluating service staffing needs using a company-wide staffing template and support recruitment efforts in coordination with HR and Marketing
- Participate in the development and delivery of training programs, including mechanic skill assessments, advancement planning, and recurring training rotations
- Support corrective action processes and help ensure safety compliance in accordance with OSHA and company policies
- Promote and uphold Mersino’s safety culture and ensure environmental procedures are followed by all service personnel
- Act as a field-based ambassador for “The Mersino Way,” modeling company values and expectations in both administrative and hands-on capacities
Qualifications:
- Field service or project management experience in equipment maintenance or repair environments
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work hands-on with pumps, diesel equipment, or related systems
- Associate's degree or relevant technical certification preferred; bachelor's degree in Diesel Technology, Service Management, or related field is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to coach and collaborate across multiple teams
- Experience supporting or supervising field staff and coordinating service operations

- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to take a hands-on role in field operations when needed
- Flexible schedule, including availability for on-call service needs
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Physical ability to lift, climb, and move equipment in various environments
