Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Mother Baby (Nights)
Assignment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights | 3×12-hour shifts (36 hrs/week)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for:
- High-risk OB
- Antepartum patients
- C-sections
- Vaginal deliveries
- Postpartum mothers and newborns
- Manage and monitor drips including magnesium and insulin.
- Deliver patient-centered care following nursing process standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe transitions and quality outcomes.
- Float across Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC EMR.
- Participate in required weekend and holiday rotations.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 3×12-hour shifts (36 hrs/week)
- Weekends: Every 3rd weekend
- Holidays: Required if scheduled (must work 2 of 3 winter holidays)
Required Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum 1.5 years recent Mother Baby experience in a hospital setting
- Experience in:
- High-risk OB
- Antepartum
- Postpartum
- L&D support (floating)
- C-sections & vaginal deliveries
- Magnesium & insulin drips
- Must have completed at least 1 travel contract within last 12 months
- No first-time travelers
- Certifications (Required):
- BLS (AHA)
- NRP
- License:
- Iowa RN license or compact license
