Location: Commerce, GA
Type: Temp-to-Hire
Compensation: $65,000 – $75,000 annually DOE

We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-driven Benefits Specialist to join our team in Commerce, GA. This role blends payroll administration with benefits management, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional employee support. Key Responsibilities

  • Administer end-to-end payroll processes in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
  • Accurately calculate regular pay, overtime, bonuses, and special compensation
  • Process payroll adjustments including retroactive pay and time-off requests
  • Manage employee leaves of absence and maintain thorough documentation
  • Reconcile payroll and benefits data, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions
  • Serve as the liaison between the company and insurance providers, third-party vendors, and government agencies
  • Support benefits administration including open enrollment and routine reconciliations
  • Handle tax withholdings, deductions, and ensure proper reporting
  • Maintain payroll records and generate required reports for internal and external use
  • Stay informed on evolving payroll and benefits regulations to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Respond to employee inquiries with clarity, empathy, and professionalism
  • Assist with additional payroll and benefits-related tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration
  • Strong understanding of employee benefits programs (401(k), FMLA, COBRA, etc.)
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables)
  • Solid grasp of payroll calculations including overtime and shift differentials
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Clear and effective communication skills for employee-facing interactions
  • Preferred: Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
