Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide specialized psychological services across a wide grade span from 1st through 12th grade in a school setting located in Ames, IA. This contract position offers an opportunity to apply expert knowledge in educational psychology to support students academic and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administration to develop intervention plans
- Provide counseling and support services to students facing academic or behavioral challenges
- Participate in developing individualized education programs (IEPs) and 504 plans
- Advise on strategies to foster positive classroom environments and student success
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in School Psychology required
- Valid state-issued School Psychologist License must be current
- Experience working with students from 1st grade through 12th grade preferred, but all levels considered
- Strong skills in assessment, counseling, and collaboration in school-based settings
