About the position:



(This is not a 100% remote position/ MANDATORY IN OFFICE: Tuesday & Wednesday)

Use your creativity and marketing savvy to help get thousands of books and critical resourcestokids in need! Theirkey responsibilities are tobuildmarketing plansandcreatecorresponding digitalmarketing assets, such associal mediacreative and email communications, that promote exciting programs and resourcesto supporteducators and their students.

Youllexcel in this role ifyourea creative marketer with a collaborative spirit and a knack for project management.This candidate should be comfortable with design, content creation,andmonitoringmulti-channel outreach campaign success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support Program Design &ResourceCreationThe Managercreatescommunication campaignsto ensure all touch points areuser-friendly, impactful, and relevant.
    • Identifyingsuccessmetrics that ensure funded campaignsaccomplishbothFirst Bookorganizational andpartner goals,advance our mission, and provide a valuable, positive experience for members.
    • Working alongsidebrand,corporate and non-profit partnership managers toguide programs fromideationthrough toimpact reporting.
  • Multi-Channel MarketingWeseeka creativecommunicatorwithstrong designand marketing skills. The Manager workscross-functionallytocreate and execute robust marketing plans thatdrive awareness and usage ofFirst Books products, resources, and opportunities. The Managerdrives successfulmarketing by:
    • Designingcontent and campaign elements/assets for multi-channel campaigns (ex: email, digitaladcreative,andSMS using Photoshop, Canva, etc.)
    • Developingand executingcommunicationplansto promotenew resourcesand initiatives through paidMetaand Googlead placement,organic social,content marketing, SMS campaigns, direct mail, email marketing, etc.
    • Monitoringcampaign performance metrics, implementingadjustments accordingly, and creating reports for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience bothplanning and creating design assets for successfulmulti-channelmarketing and communicationscampaigns
  • Experience with organic and paid social strategies
  • Excellentcopywriting andwritten communication skillswith asharp eye for detail
  • Graphic design skills and visual creativity
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to spark, cultivate, and grow relationships
  • Flexible and adaptable, motivated by a fast pace
  • Works well at both thecampaignlevel (using data and creativity tocome up withinnovative ideas for growth) and at the tactical level (executing campaigns within marketing tools, analyzing impact, solving problems)
  • Takes a positive, solution-oriented approachto opportunities and challenges

Education

  • A minimum of 4years of work experiencein communications or digital marketingrequired.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience managing performance-orientedpaid social media campaigns, such asMetaand/orGoogle Adsrequired.
  • Proficiencywithgraphic design tools such asPhotoshoporCanvarequired.
  • Experience with Marketing Cloud, Constant Contact, or another similar email platformpreferred.
  • Experience with Word Press preferred.
  • Experiencewithexternalclient/partner relationship management preferred.

Location and Work Presence Requirement

  • This position requires the ability to maintain a regular in-office presence at First Books Washington, DC office to support collaboration with internal teams and participation in partnership-related activities.
