Job Title: Computational Biologist – Immunology & Spatial Omics
Location: (Fully onsite) South San Francisco, CA
Type: 3-month contract (Very likely to extend)
Pay Range: $45–$65/hr+(flexible for the right candidate)
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role:
To establish robust and integrated data-driven analysis frameworks that leverage multimodal data (molecular, cellular, clinical, and imaging) in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) to enhance decision-making across the research and development pipeline with a focus on target discovery, target prioritization, biomarker discovery, and biomarker development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize ML/AI models (e.g., autoencoders, scVI, transformers) for spatial mapping using scRNA-seq reference atlases
- Integrate spatial and single-cell datasets to support immunology-focused research
Required Qualifications:
- PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, or related field with 3–5 years of relevant experience
- Strong background in immunology & computational biology – in depth knowledge of IBD pathogenesis, relevant immune pathways and current therapeutics landscape.
- Experience applying AI/ML methods to analyze multimodal omics
- Expertise in immunology is required, expertise in IBD
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship needed.
