Position Overview
The Healthcare Field Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing strategic healthcare accounts across the Baltimore and Washington, DC metropolitan area. This role focuses on building strong relationships with healthcare providers, administrators, nursing staff, clinics, and other stakeholders while driving revenue growth, market adoption, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a consultative sales professional with deep knowledge of the healthcare landscape and a proven ability to manage complex accounts in a field-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a defined portfolio of healthcare accounts within the Baltimore/DC territory
- Develop and execute territory and account plans to achieve or exceed sales targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including physicians, administrators, procurement, and clinical staff
- Identify new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts
- Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, marketing, customer success, and operations teams
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategy
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and activity reports
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
- 3–7 years of experience in healthcare sales, account management, or fieldbased commercial roles
- Strong understanding of the healthcare environment, including post-acute facilities, health systems, and outpatient settings
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in a competitive market
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently while managing a large geographic territory
- Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office or equivalent platforms
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively within the territory
