- Document detailed medical histories, physical exam findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions with precision.
- Assist healthcare providers by preparing and organizing medical documentation promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain and update patient records ensuring all information is complete, accurate, and compliant with privacy regulations.
- Support the clinical team by managing medical records requests, lab results, imaging reports, and other pertinent documentation.
- Utilize physiology and anatomy knowledge to accurately interpret clinical notes and assist in complex documentation scenarios.
- Demonstrate proficiency in typing and transcription skills to keep pace with fast-moving clinical environments, including emergency room settings when applicable.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and human anatomy to ensure precise documentation.
- Experience with EMR or EHR systems for recording and managing patient data efficiently.
- Excellent transcription skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with medical records management, including confidentiality and privacy standards such as HIPAA.
- Ability to work under pressure in busy environments such as emergency rooms or urgent care clinics.
- Proficiency in typing quickly while maintaining accuracy; previous experience in emergency room settings is a plus.
