A per diem pharmacist position is available to support a specialty retail pharmacy focused on filling special packaging for nursing homes. This role operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, offering flexibility for pharmacists seeking per diem opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify prescription accuracy and appropriateness
- Provide patient counseling to ensure safe and effective medication use
- Utilize the Pioneer RX system for prescription processing and documentation
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois State Pharmacist License required
- Experience in specialty pharmacy or retail pharmacy settings preferred
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
