Employment Type: Full-Time | Exempt
Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience
This Is Not a "Keep-the-Lights-On" PM Role

As a Project Manager, you'll be acarrier of Alpha's culture, not just a manager of tasks.
The Role: Project Manager – Alpha Vertical
You'll lead vertical construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, owning performance across schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client experience.
This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong coordination between clients, design teams, subcontractors, and Alpha's field crews.
You'll be expected to think ahead, communicate clearly, and act decisively — while mentoring project engineers and supporting field leadership.
What You'll Own
Project Leadership & Execution

Lead assigned vertical construction projects through all phases: pre-construction, execution, and closeout

Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to Alpha's standards of excellence
Financial & Schedule Control

Develop, manage, and forecast project budgets and schedules

Proactively manage costs, resources, and change to protect margins and momentum
Coordination & Communication

Coordinate closely with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers

Review and manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders with urgency and accuracy

Lead progress meetings and maintain transparent communication across all stakeholders
Field & Quality Oversight

Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure quality, safety, and contract compliance

Partner with Superintendents to remove obstacles and keep work moving
Risk Management & Problem Solving

Identify risks early and implement practical solutions

Escalate issues appropriately while maintaining ownership and accountability
Team Development

Mentor and support Project Engineers and field staff

What an "A Player" Brings to This Role
Experience & Education
-
4–6+ years of project management experience in vertical construction (commercial, institutional, or mixed-use)

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred

PMP or equivalent experience a plus
Skills & Mindset

Strong command of construction scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration

Comfortable managing multiple priorities without losing attention to detail

Proficient with construction/project management software and Microsoft Office

Clear, confident communicator who earns trust with clients and crews alike

Takes ownership, learns fast, and raises the bar for themselves and others
