Job Summary:
We are seeking a detailed-oriented and patient-focused Optometric Technician to join our team, providing essential support to our optometrists by conducting patient intake, performing diagnostic tests, and assisting with patient care, ensuring a positive experience for every patient visiting our office.
Key Responsibilities:

Taking patient medical history and gathering relevant information

Performing basic vision tests like visual acuity measurements

Conduct diagnostic tests including retinal imaging, refraction, and tonometry.

Assisting with contact lens fittings and patient education on lens care

Preparing exam and pretest rooms and sterilizing equipment

Maintaining accurate patient records ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines

Scheduling appointments and coordinating patient flow to ensure timely and efficient care

Provide clerical support, such as answering phones, processing insurance claims, and managing office paperwork.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (required).

Strong written and oral communication skills

Strong customer service skills

Organizational skills and attention to detail.

Self-motivated, and ability to work under pressure.

Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) software and other office technologies (Preferred but not required).
