Pharmacist – Dispensing Compensation
- The pay for this position is $62.85 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Pharmacist – Dispensing Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- The required availability for this position is full-time; schedule may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of a rotation
- Closed-door pharmacy setting (not patient-facing)
- Safety-sensitive role
Pharmacist – Dispensing Responsibilities
- Execute day-to-day operations related to pharmacy workflow, production quotas, and deadlines
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations, including DEA policies and third-party payor requirements
- Supervise pharmacy production staff to ensure order accuracy and timely delivery
- Perform thorough drug utilization reviews, including assessment for allergies, high-risk meds, and interactions
- Oversee preparation and supervision of sterile IV drug products and related documentation
- Manage ordering, receiving, and inventory of controlled substances
- Maintain emergency dispensing kits including ekits and Omnicells
- Participate in on-call rotation coverage including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Clear workflow grid daily and report issues to Pharmacy Management
- Adhere to HIPAA and company SOPs, and support drug recall processes and medication occurrence reporting
- Other duties as assigned
Pharmacist – Dispensing Requirements
- BS or Pharm.D. degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy
- Current license to practice pharmacy in good standing
- 1 to 3 years of experience
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 2 years of long-term care experience
- Immunization certification or willingness to obtain it
- Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage pharmacy activities
- Familiarity with pharmacy regulations and drug indicators for long-term care
- Knowledge of ASCP guidelines and federal/state pharmacy laws
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- May sit or stand for 7–10 hours per day, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
- Visual and hearing acuity required
- Work performed in a climate-controlled, smoke-free internal environment
