Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000

Location: Hybrid - Oakland, CA or Washington, D.C

Purpose Of The Position:

Dream.Org is seeking a Senior Associate to support the Green Reentry Incubator, an ambitious initiative that bridges environmental justice, workforce equity, and tech accountability. The Senior Associate will play a key role in advancing three major bodies of work:


1. Power in the Problem Campaign a narrative and organizing campaign centering returning citizens and HBCU voices

2. Data Center Accountability Strategy including the Stop Toxic Tech campaign and coalition work

3. Green Skills Accelerator an 8-week training and support program connecting justice-impacted and formerly incarcerated individuals to green careers


This is a highly collaborative role, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, is passionate about racial and climate justice, and brings both strategic thinking and strong execution skills.


Minimum Job Requirements:

  • 35 years of experience in policy, advocacy, campaign, workforce, or nonprofit project coordination
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in cross-cultural or justice-centered contexts
  • Demonstrated commitment to racial, economic, and environmental justice
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities with deadlines
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, Zoom, Slack, and project management tools (e.g., Asana)


Preferred Education/Skills/Experience::

  • Familiarity with issues like reentry, digital equity, clean energy, and/or narrative change
  • Success managing multi-sector collaborations across public, private, and nonprofit stakeholders
  • Personal experience or significant time spent in communities impacted by climate disruption, environmental racism, and/or economic oppression is highly valued
  • Ability to interpret and act on data to drive project outcomes
  • Equity-centered mindset with a working knowledge of inclusive workforce strategies
  • Proficiency in analytics and data analysis
  • Ability to work independently and participate in complex collaborative processes


Duties and Responsibilities:

Campaign & Program Support:

  • Coordinate logistics, outreach, and speaker prep for the Power in the Problem HBCU Homecoming Tour and related storytelling events
  • Draft content (talking points, toolkits, outreach emails) to support national and local engagement efforts
  • Assist in managing relationships with artists, HBCU partners, and campaign vendors


Coalition & Advocacy Coordination:

  • Support day-to-day coordination, including scheduling, note-taking, and member communications
  • Help maintain databases, documents, and policy trackers related to data center siting, energy use, and permitting
  • Conduct light research and support production of fact sheets or advocacy tools


Green Skills Accelerator Operations:

  • Assist with cohort recruitment, screening, onboarding, and scheduling
  • Track participant progress and coordinate support services (stipends, tech, transportation)
  • Help plan in-person weekends, graduations, and employer engagement events


Travel:

30-40%

After a 6 month waiting period, employees can contribute to our retirement plan. Currently, Dream.Org offers up to a 5% match. We also offer a flexible spending, pre-tax program for medical expenses, dependent care expenses, transit expenses and parking expenses. All full-time Dream.Org employees accrue 4 weeks of vacation time off and 12 days of sick time off over the first year of employment. Part-time employees accrue time off on a prorated basis. In addition to 10 paid holidays, Dream.Org also provides paid time off from December 24th through January 1st each year.
