Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of administrative duties related to a patient's departure from the medical clinic.
- Addresses patient inquiries about their visit, follow-up care, billing, or other concerns, seeking help from clinical staff or providers if necessary.
- Schedules follow-up appointments, diagnostic tests, or procedures as directed by the provider.
- Offers information about follow-up appointments, medications, or any additional instructions provided by the healthcare provider.
- Reviews providers orders to determine the necessary treatment plan and ensure appointments or tests are scheduled accordingly.
- Maintains accurate financial records, including collecting and tracking patient charges and preparing end-of-day reports and deposits.
- Prepares and processes necessary documentation for billing, insurance claims, and internal use.
- Ensures all patient information is accurately captured, maintained, and kept confidential in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborates with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and address administrative inquiries.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
- At least 1 year of experience preferred
