Key Qualifications:
- Active GaPSC Special Education Certification covering SPED content through 8th grade
- Adapted Curriculum Endorsement (or pending credentials considered)
- Previous experience with self-contained, lower functioning classrooms is highly desirable
- Strong commitment to individualized instruction and collaborative teamwork
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing specialized instruction in a self-contained, functional curriculum classroom
- Differentiating lesson plans to meet students’ varied needs
- Working closely with a team of paraprofessionals and a Registered Behavior Technician
- Participating in pre/post planning and ongoing parent communication
- Ensuring compliance with IEPs and district mandates
