Job DescriptionLead the Nightly Rhythm of High-Volume Molding
When the lights come up at ConMet’s Canton facility, you take the helm. From 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, Monday through Thursday, you coordinate people, machines, and materials so every cycle counts. You remove roadblocks, coach your crew, and keep safety, quality, and throughput in lockstep.
Your Night, Simplified
- Open the shift by reviewing the molding plan, translating it into prioritized, clear assignments for each workstation.
- Verify work instructions, tooling, and equipment setups are in place and ready to run; confirm PPE and safety protocols are followed without exception.
- Direct and support the team to hit production goals and meet stringent quality standards.
- Coach, train, and develop team members—building capability through feedback and hands-on guidance.
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that reflects 5S and lean principles.
- Document attendance, capture production results, and deliver concise end-of-shift reports.
- Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts that drive efficiency and eliminate waste.
Schedule: Mon–Thurs, 7:00 pm–7:30 am
What You Bring
- 5+ years of supervisory experience in an injection molding production setting, or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
- Technical mastery of injection molding operations: mold/die changes, machine setup, and quality troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of inventory control practices.
- Background in lean manufacturing.
- Familiarity with ISO and IATF 16949 systems.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong leadership, communication, and performance management skills.
- Automotive industry experience preferred.
