Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Educator to support clinical education and patient care across Medical-Surgical and inpatient Maternal Child Health (MCH) units. This role involves working closely with clinical teams to enhance patient outcomes, provide staff education, and ensure adherence to healthcare standards.
Compensation & Benefits (For Travelers):

Pay Rate: $70.00 – $90.00/hour (based on experience)

Estimated Weekly Gross Pay: $2,900 – $3,300

Weekly Stipend: $1,561.20
Key Responsibilities:
-
Deliver high-quality nursing care across Med/Surg and inpatient MCH units, including Labor & Delivery (L&D), NICU, Mother-Baby Unit (MBU), and Pediatrics

Support clinical education initiatives and staff training within L&D, NICU, and postpartum units

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient documentation

Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Required Skills & Experience:
-
Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) nursing experience

Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience
-
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking abilities
-
Ability to work across multiple units in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills & Experience:
-
Master’s Degree in Education (strongly preferred)
-
Prior experience in clinical education, teaching, or staff development
Education Requirements:
-
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program (required)
Certifications & Licensure:
-
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
-
Primary Source Verification from NYS Department of Education (NYSED)
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Assignment Details:

13-week contract (non-extendable)

Must be flexible to support all inpatient MCH units as required
