Job DescriptionRole:To assist members with their lending needs; analyze loan requests and make credit decisions based on lending policy. Opens new accounts.Essential Functions & Responsibilities:E25%Interviews member loan applicants to develop information concerning their loan needs, earnings, and financial condition.E20%Analyzes current financial position of members to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money. Makes decision to approve, disapprove, or forward the loan request to higher levels for decision.N10%Prepares and/or reviews all loan documents for completeness and accuracy.N10%Explains loan programs to members, evaluates their needs and recommends loan options.N10%Establishes the terms and conditions of an approved loan and reviews them with the member.N5%Participates in sales development activities.N5%Keeps informed of current trends in consumer credit.N5%Follows current loans to ensure compliance with terms and coordinates with collections.N5%Authorize release of collateral on existing loans, changes in loan terms, waivers of payments, due date change, etc.N5%Other duties as assigned.Performance Measurements:1.To meet the minimum established incentive goal each month.2.To maintain delinquency goal based on the weighted calculation of loan portfolio.3.To sell assigned volume of insurance products.4.To maintain a charge-off rate of no more than the weighted calculation of loan portfolio.5.To maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly atmosphere for members and co-workers.6.To maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.7.To troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly and accurate manner.Knowledge and Skills:ExperienceFive to ten years of similar or related experience.EducationA high school education or GED.Interpersonal SkillsWork involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
