Radiation Therapist
Location: Houston, TX
Pay Rate: Starting at $41/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Overtime: Available as needed
Dean's Professional Services is actively seeking a Radiation Therapist to join a reputable healthcare facility in Houston, Texas. This is an onsite, weekday opportunity offering long-term stability, competitive pay, and the chance to play a vital role in delivering high-quality cancer care to patients.
Position Overview
The Radiation Therapist is responsible for delivering prescribed radiation treatments accurately and safely while providing compassionate patient care. This role works closely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients with cancer and other conditions
- Perform treatment simulations and set-ups using LINAC equipment
- Accurately calculate and deliver prescribed radiation doses
- Operate, monitor, and calibrate radiation therapy equipment
- Observe patients during treatment and report any adverse reactions
- Explain treatment procedures and address patient questions or concerns
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient treatment records
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to support patient safety and care quality
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
- Current ARRT certification (or eligible)
- Experience operating LINAC equipment
- Minimum of 2 years of radiation therapy or related clinical experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and patient-focused approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
