Job Description
Position Summary
The EHS Manager is responsible for developing and leading site safety, health, and environmental programs to ensure regulatory compliance, reduce risk, and drive a strong safety culture. This role partners closely with site leadership to improve safety performance and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, programs, and procedures
- Partner with leadership to establish safety goals and track performance metrics
- Conduct incident investigations, determine root cause, and drive corrective actions
- Analyze safety data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulatory requirements
- Serve as primary liaison with regulatory agencies and external inspectors
- Lead emergency response planning and serve as site emergency coordinator as needed
- Conduct audits, inspections, and industrial hygiene monitoring activities
- Oversee safety training, onboarding, and employee safety engagement programs
- Manage safety committees and ensure follow-up on corrective actions
- Administer return-to-work and injury management programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- CSP or other safety certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulationd
- Experience in industrial/manufacturing EHS program management
- Strong incident investigation and root cause analysis skilld
- Ability to influence and engage employees and leadership
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in industrial environments and wear PPE
- Ability to navigate facility environments including stairs and ladders
- Strong communication and observation skills
