Schedule: Day Shift | 24/7 Availability Required
Facility Type: 24-Hour Facility | Level I Trauma Center
Salary: $108,000 – $170,000/year + AIP Bonus
Relocation Assistance: Offered (based on location/distance – relocation expected for most candidates)
About the Role
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Nursing Director for the Emergency Department at a high-acuity, Level I Trauma Center located in Rock Hill, SC. This facility provides 24/7 emergency care and supports patient overflow from a nearby Fort Mill facility. Due to the size and scope of the department, we are seeking a seasoned ER nursing leader to drive excellence and lead a large, fast-paced emergency team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the ER, supporting the CNO and hospital operations
- Oversee all nursing and designated patient care functions within the emergency department
- Ensure 24/7 department oversight, including on-call availability
- Lead and develop clinical teams to deliver safe, high-quality care
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing practices across multiple units
- Manage departmental resources and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
Requirements
Education:
- Required: Associate degree in Nursing with a Bachelor’s in a healthcare-related field or BSN
- Preferred: MSN or Master’s in a healthcare-related field
Licensure/Certifications:
- Required: Active RN license in the state of practice
- Required: AHA BLS Certification
- Preferred: Additional specialty certifications
Experience:
- Required: Minimum of 2 years of progressive leadership in a hospital setting (Manager, Charge Nurse, or similar)
- Preferred: Experience in a Level I Trauma Center or large ER environment
