Job Description

Solar Contract Carpet is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations & Inventory Control Assistant to support our fast-paced flooring distribution and installation operations. This role is essential for maintaining accuracy in pricing, order processing, and inventory control while supporting communication across multiple departments.

Required Skills & Competencies

High attention to detail in pricing, documentation, billing notes, and data accuracy.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities, with proven success meeting tight deadlines and 24-hour turnaround requirements.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with sales teams, vendors, accounting, customer service, warehouse personnel, and management.
Proficiency in inventory management processes, including receiving, updating manifests, and maintaining accurate real-time stock levels.
Analytical ability to identify and resolve discrepancies, including inventory variances, incorrect shipments, and vendor errors.
Ability to read and interpret product specifications, packing lists, purchase orders, and vendor confirmations.
Working knowledge of flooring products or the ability to quickly learn industry terminology and product specifications.
Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel (formulas, sorting/filtering), email communication, and internal order-entry systems.
Reliable adherence to structured processes, workflows, and approval guidelines, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all tasks.
Team-oriented work ethic, supporting cross-departmental workflow and contributing to continuous operational improvement.
Customer Service, Taking calls from customers and ensuring their needs get met quickly and with quality. We need someone with professional phone skill.
